LIVE REVIEW: HOT MULLIGAN & SPANISH LOVE SONGS

Possibly the hottest, sweatiest show I’ve been to in my entire life - last week Hot Mulligan brought their bouncy emo pop punk sound across the uk. Emphasis on hot.

They played an eclectic mix of their tracks, new and old, each track enticing a bouncy audience to break into a heartfelt singalong. Kicking off hard with ‘OG Bule Sky’ followed by fan favourite ‘Equip Sunglasses’. Something so charming about this band is the obscure song titles that feature all over the set list.

Tracks from the new album such as ‘Shhhh! Golf Is On’ and Gans Media Retro Games’ kept the energy going. The show as a whole was brilliant, quick paced with relentless energy despite the tropical UK heatwave taking clutch. Highlights for me were ‘No Shoes In the Coffee Shop (Or Socks) since that track is fab.

The set was topped off by a 1 track encore of ‘Bckyrd’.
