Glass Heart release their fourth single ‘Dark’ on 12th June, and it’s one to get involved with. ‘Dark’ sound, for me, sits somewhere between Deaf Havana and Boston Manor, consisting of passionate vocals that are melodically clean and powerfully dirty, creating a contrast that is equally balanced. Although being a fairly new band, forming in August 2019, you get the vibe from their well put-together tracks that they have their sound nailed. The weight behind the bass and lead guitars paint the track with a grunge tinge while complimenting the vocals and the darting rhythm from the drums. The track is lyrically as captivating as the sound, being ‘a message to all those people who are out there who are struggling whilst they try to be strong for somebody else. To be the shoulder when you need help is a suffering place’. With the world becoming more aware of the importance of looking after your own mental health, this track carries a powerful message and could sit as some kind of solace to anyone who can relate.
‘Dark’ will be available on streaming platforms 12th June
